Master an Album

My approach to mastering is that every song is different and needs its own personal touch. That is why I have no standard for measuring loudness in L.U.F.S. I don't care what the industry typically does. The point of mastering is to make the song shine on any speaker system. A good master to me sounds polished and energetic. A good master for an album means all songs have the same energy level and feel uniform from song to song. The beginnings and endings of each song flow nicely into each other.
